From the very first AU women's game to today, the ice at Fort Dupont has been a friendly home for Lady Eagles hockey.

Owned by the National Park Service, "The Fort" functions as a non-profit and sits in a park that allows views of DC's monuments.

The facility has spacious bleachers, new dashers and a snack bar for cocoa breaks. Parking is free.

Fort Dupont's 'Kids On Ice' program serves over 10,000 neighborhood boys and girls annually, holds free skates for schools and teaches youth hockey. In 2007 these heroic efforts were featured in a USA Hockey magazine article titled: Washington Monument.
